Track bikes are a lot of fun and I enjoy them.

The frames are stiff, their riders focused. A large amonut of pain in a short period of time. Fun.

This bike features the legendary Columbus Max tubing known for its stiffness and — let's be honest here — ugly lugs. Well, we've modified the lugs making them easier on the eye and they now compliment the design.

Additionally, we've fabricated an integrated bar/stem combination to ensure that no one mistakes this for a high-rise trick bike.

Blue Araya Super Aero wheels, custom-mixed HOK green paint and special pinstripping bring it all together.

I sent a couple of preliminary pictures of this frame to the customer and he replied with "molto bene." The name stuck.

A traditionally finished bike evoking a slightly British feeling the frame is completely modern using Slant-6 lugs and the latest Columbus Spirit tubing. Additionally, this single-speed/commuter possesses some really curvy, curvy stays that definitely add a contemporary touch.

The multi-color paint job was finished off with a gold pearl top coat to ensure it dazzles in the sun and hand-built wheels, Campagnolo, Phil Wood, and Chris King components ensures that it dazzles the rider.

The customer requested a color based on the 1970's British Leyland color — Blackberry - but he wanted it deep and richer.

We worked with the painter to develop a custom House of Kolor Kandy paint job that is truly different in different shades and types of light. In direct sunlight it's a dark red — the Blackberry color from the paint chip. In overcast situations it's purple or plum or aubergine or even black in dark lighting conditions.

Hand-built wheels, Campagnolo, Phil Wood, Chris King, Dazza Stem kit, and Drew's stainless seat post round out the build.

Built with Columbus Spirit for Lugs tubes, Henry James stainless steel lugs and fork crown, all topped off with a Llewellyn (Dazza) stem kit and Drew's (Engin) stainless seat post.

Polished lugs. Polished stem. Polished bottom bracket. Polished fork crown. Polished drop outs. Polished brake bridge. Polished head tube badge.

The frame was finished using a multi-step House of Kolor process. Both pearls and candies were involved. Needless to say the paint takes on various hues under different lighting conditions from black to metallic purple.

Built with Columbus tubes, Pacenti lugs, bottom bracket shell, and fork crown all topped off with a Llewellyn (Dazza) stem kit.

The paint is a full iridescent House of Kolor Kandy Apple Red custom mixed to provide additional richness and depth. Coupled with the polished stainless Nuovo Richie lugs it makes a striking combination.

Conceived from the beginning as a single-speed commuter this bike features relaxed geometry over a regular track bike.

The new Columbus Spirit for Lugs tubes provides the metal underpinnings for the frame while the painted to match classically Italian Silca frame pump and NOS Campy metal head compliment the final build.
